8A. Senior Debate Academy I (Sunday 9:30 - 11:30am)

This course offers advanced debate training specifically designed for experienced junior debaters who are looking to refine and elevate their skills to the next level. It goes beyond the basics, focusing on sophisticated argumentation techniques, advanced research methods, and competitive strategy development to prepare students for higher-level debate competitions.

The course emphasizes the importance of building nuanced, multi-layered arguments that go beyond simple claims and evidence. Students will learn how to construct complex, strategic arguments that are both logically sound and compelling, incorporating advanced rhetorical techniques and persuasive tactics. Special attention will be given to developing the ability to make sophisticated claims, use nuanced language, and present arguments in a way that appeals to both judges and the audience.
